WELDING FOREMAN

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of five (5) years of site experience in oil and gas welding projects.
  • Hands-on expertise in welding processes: GTAW, SMAW, FCAW, and SAW.
  • Experience working on jackets, platforms, and offshore structures.
  • Strong knowledge of welding equipment and automation systems.
  • Proven ability to plan, organize, and manage welding operations effectively.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to resolve technical welding issues and ensure quality compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and lead welding teams in executing site activities for jackets, platforms, and offshore structures.
  • Plan and schedule welding work in line with project timelines, optimizing manpower and equipment utilization.
  • Perform and oversee welding processes including GTAW, SMAW, FCAW, and SAW (manual, semi-automatic, and automated).
  • Ensure strict compliance with approved welding procedures, quality standards, and project specifications.
  • Identify and resolve welding issues and defects promptly.
  • Monitor and maintain welding equipment, ensuring proper usage and functionality.
  • Train, guide, and upskill welders to improve team performance and productivity.
  • Manage materials, welding consumables, and inventory efficiently.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate daily reports, documentation, and progress records.
  • Enforce safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment at all times.
