HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR – RTG CRANE/REACH STACKER

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience as a heavy equipment operator
• Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate in a related field
• Experience in operating RTG cranes, reach stackers, forklifts, or similar heavy equipment
• Strong knowledge of safety procedures in port or industrial environments
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-risk environment with attention to detail
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Male applicants are preferred for this role

Responsibilities:

• Operate RTG cranes, reach stackers, forklifts, and payloaders safely and efficiently
• Transport cargo within the yard, shed, and quayside with care and precision
• Inspect equipment prior to operation and ensure it is in good working condition
• Report any faults, damages, or maintenance needs to the supervisor immediately
• Handle empty and loaded containers for loading and discharging operations
• Ensure work areas are clear of pedestrians and obstacles before operating machinery
• Follow all port safety procedures, especially when handling hazardous or dangerous cargo
• Coordinate with team members to ensure smooth and efficient operations
• Assist in ensuring mechanical and electrical issues are promptly addressed to avoid delays
