Roblawmax Recruiting Limited is seeking skilled Concrete Placers to join construction projects in New Zealand. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, placing, and finishing concrete for various structural and paving works. This role requires hands-on experience in concrete construction, site preparation, and the use of construction equipment to ensure quality and efficiency in project completion.

CONCRETE PLACER

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in the construction industry.
  • Solid experience in paving installation and base preparation.
  • Hands-on experience with small pipework, trenching, or drainage construction.
  • Understanding of levels, falls, and basic plan interpretation.
  • Confident in concrete placement and finishing.
  • Knowledge of basic building methods and construction terminology.
  • Experience operating construction equipment such as laser screeds or troweling machines is an advantage.
  • Construction-related qualifications are preferred.
  • Possesses practical concrete, carpentry, or general construction skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare sites for concrete works including base preparation, trenching, and drainage installation.
  • Place, spread, level, and finish concrete for foundations, pavements, and structural elements.
  • Interpret construction drawings and ensure correct levels and falls during installation.
  • Assist with installation of paving systems and concrete structures.
  • Operate construction equipment such as laser screeds, troweling machines, and other concrete finishing tools.
  • Support small pipework and drainage construction activities when required.
  • Maintain high standards of quality, accuracy, and workplace safety on site.
  • Work collaboratively with construction teams to complete tasks efficiently and on schedule.
