Heavy Equipment Operator (Excavator)

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Excavator (8-20 ton tracks, or duck)
• Knowledge in temporary works or shoring
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations in a construction environment
• Ability to perform routine maintenance and basic repairs on equipment
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Good ENGLISH communication and interpersonal skills
• At least high school graduate.

Responsibilities:

• Operating heavy machinery to dig pipes trenches for pipes.
• Safely operate excavators and other heavy machinery to dig trenches and move earth for pipe installation.
• Read and interpret blueprints and project specifications to determine the exact layout and depth of trenches for pipelines.
• Conduct utility locating and carefully excavate around existing underground utilities to prevent damage.
• Conduct daily inspections, cleaning, lubrication, and routine maintenance on heavy equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
• Work closely with other construction workers, supervisors, and pipelayers to ensure accurate and efficient installation.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols on the construction site, and ensure the work area is clean and organized.
• Assist with other aspects of the job, such as backfilling trenches, setting up equipment, and placing conduit or ducts
