Front Desk Receptionist
Qualifications:
- Minimum completed secondary education (Level 4 of professional qualification) in accordance with the Job Classification Rule Book of Menahot d.o.o.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Hotel Hospitality- front office department- front office, reservations (big hotels, various categories will be advantage)
- Certificate of no criminal record English language knowledge is mandatory (fluent speaking and writing).
- Additional languages knowledge will be advantage as well as willingness for learning basis of Serbian language.
- Proficiency in using at least one global hotel room expert system (Opera, Fidelio will be advantage).
- Computer skills are mandatory (Office package)
- Knowledge of payment processing through card system and POS terminals
Responsibilities:
- Welcomes and accommodates guests according to their reservation, manages billing and processes payment of hotel invoices
- Handles telephone reservations, sends offers and booking confirmations via email, and assigns rooms to hotel guests in accordance with established instructions
- Maintains accurate records of shift activities based on instructions specific to each shift
- Properly manages the guest book, and performs guest check-in and check-out in the E-tourist system, including verification of entries
- Monitors availability and manages inventory for further sale or closes availability on reservation systems as needed
- Keeps accurate records of hotel parking reservations and charges related fees
- Reviews and reconciles payments and cash register balance according to hotel procedures
- Accepts money and valuables from guests and stores them securely in the hotel safe following strictly defined procedures
- Ensures compliance with house rules and takes care of hotel property
- Follows all shift-specific duties as per shift manual and reports any irregularities immediately to the front desk supervisor
- Responsible for the quality execution of duties
- Responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of records and reports prepared
- Responsible for accurate billing and invoice processing
- Responsible for proper submission of daily revenue and cash reports
- Responsible for timely reporting of irregularities to the competent authorities (e.g. visa, passport issues, counterfeit currency, suspicious behavior, etc.)
- Responsible for the safekeeping of hotel room keys
- Responsible for the safekeeping of guests’ personal documents
- Responsible for answering incoming calls, replying to emails in a timely manner’ or properly redirecting them
- Responsible for applying work norms and standards, as well as occupational health and safety (OHS) measures
- Responsible for compliance with legal regulations, customs and practices in the hospitality and hotel industry, as well as for implementing management decisions’ instructions’ and orders from the director
- Responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of business information and not disclosing it to unauthorized Person
- The Employee is directly accountable to the Front office Manager
Requirements:
- Must have a valid passport for more than 3 years
- Employment certificates
- NBI clearance valid for at least 1 year with “no derogatory / no record on file” remarks
- PEOS certificate
