Senior Furniture Carpenter

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in using woodworking machinery and hand tools (e.g., saws, drills, sanders).
• Knowledge of different types of wood and materials, and their uses in fit-out projects.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities:

• Construct, assemble, and repair wood-based items such as furniture, cabinetry, and interior fittings based on technical drawings and specifications.
• Select the appropriate types of wood and other materials, and cut, shape, and join them using tools and machinery like saws, drills, and sanders.
• Interpret and work from blueprints, sketches, or verbal instructions to produce precise and detailed woodwork.
• Inspect completed work to ensure it meets company standards for quality and precision.
• Apply stains, varnishes, or other finishes to wood products to achieve the desired appearance and protection.
• Maintain and repair woodworking tools and machinery, keeping them in safe working order.
