Accounting Assistant

Qualifications:

• Tertiary qualifications, BS Accountancy
• Have experience in costing in manufacturing and distribution
• Have experience working in Papua New Guinea
• Proven experience as General Accounts or similar position
• Understanding of basic principles of finance, accounting, and bookkeeping.
• Superb time management skills and detail orientation.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of company and partner information.

Responsibilities:

• Completing the month end and year end closing reports.
• Prepare the monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with PNG and International Accounting Standards and Companies Act.
• Manage and oversee accounts through MYOB system.
• Provide support to safe keeping of internal expenses in company.
• Administer all bank transactions and oversee data recording procedures monthly.
• Organize all company financial programs and ensure compliance to budgetary requirements.
• Prepare the documents needed for income tax returns and any related with IRC guidelines. Ensure that the organization is tax compliant (GST and SWT).
