BRICKLAYERS

Qualifications:

• Must have UKVI IELTS with a score of 4.0 per category
• Masonry TESDA NCII or Trade Test Certificates is a MUST!
• Must have appropriate Safety & Hazard Training Certificates
• Competent on the construction, maintenance, repair and modification of district wide masonry systems, including but not limited to brick, refractory, concrete block, stone, marble, ceramic tile, etc.
• Ability to work mandatory overtime hours as required, whether given advanced notice, or called-in to perform emergency duties.
• Able to work in an environment exposed to dust, dirt, general construction debris, hazardous materials, etc. that may require the use of respiratory protection.
• Able to work in an environment exposed to loud noises that may require the use of hearing protection devices.
• Able to work in an environment exposed to confined spaces that may require special rigging, harnessing, etc.
• Work at heights on various types of support equipment, including erecting scaffolding, swing stages, bosons chairs, extension and step ladder
• Essential physical requirements, such as climbing, standing, stooping, crawling, etc.

Responsibilities:

• Sealing foundations with damp-resistant materials
• Using spirit levels and plumb lines to check building alignment
• Using hand tools, power tools and brick-cutting machines
• Measuring out build areas and setting out the first rows of bricks and damp course
• Working outdoors on construction sites, in all weathers and at height.
