CARPENTERS

Qualifications:

• Male applicants
• Minimum of 3 years work experience
• Fabrication of wooden houses (guest house / cottages in the resort).

Responsibilities:

• Complete wood fabrication and repairs as needed.
• Install, maintain, and repair a variety of products, ranging from cabinets to insulation to tile to drywall.
• Perform work in accordance with safety best practices.
• Maintain tools and equipment in safe operating condition.
• Conduct building inspections and identify needed repairs.
• Document repairs and maintain thorough records.
• Cut, shape, and alter materials as needed.
• Build doors, cabinets, and windows.
• Measure and mark materials for alterations.
• Building and repairing wooden boats to a high standard.
• Reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics.
• Using hand and power tools, including saws, drills, and sanders.
• Measuring and cutting materials to the correct size and shape.
• Finishing work, including sanding, painting, and varnishing.
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
• Fabricates and repairs structural woodwork and wooden gear according to blueprints, drawings, and diagrams.
• Builds floors, doors, and partitions, using woodworking machines, saws, hammers, braces, and other carpenters’ tools.
• Replaces defective cables or stanchions on lifelines or guardrails.
• Research, purchases and inventories equipment parts, chemicals, and supplies.
• Responds to routine and emergency calls for repairs and service.
• May train and direct the work of other classified staff in the area.
• Assists and serves as back up to other facilities employees.
• Other duties assigned by the company
