ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER

Qualifications

• Male applicants preferred
• Minimum of 10 years work experience
• Degree in environmental, civil, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Fully familar with MS-Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint & Access) in addition to planning & communication skills. Site Management experience
• Fully experienced with the Environmental Safety requirements for oil & gas or petrochemical industry or in the industry related to the position placement, e.g marine, pipelines, power distribution, with an experience Project Management skills.
• Worked on major plants upgrade projects as Environmental safety engineer especially at construction phase.
• Must have knowledge or training in the following: Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental compliance with applicable industry, governmental and/or international standards.
• Must have demonstrated knowledge of delivering hands on health, safety and environmental training.
• Must also have ability to assist with developing, implementing and coordinating comprehensive health & safety programs

Responsibilities

• Designing technology for pollution control and waste management.
• Collecting and analyzing environmental data.
• Carrying out site assessments to determine the environmental impact of commercial activity.
• Studying human influences on the environment.
• Improving environmental conservation management, including recycling, public health, and water and air pollution.
• Identifying critical research areas such as renewable energy, climate change, and food and water security.
• Undertaking environmental protection projects such as designing air pollution management systems.
• Ensuring design projects comply with environmental and health regulations.
• Writing reports on their environmental investigative efforts.
• Consulting and advising policymakers on environmental best practices.
