MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
As a packaging line (Form Fill Seal = FFS) machine maintenance technician, you will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting various types of FFS machines and palletizers that are used to package and stack polyethylene (PE) or powder (PVC) products in 25kg bags or big bags. You will ensure the quality and efficiency of the packaging process and comply with all safety and hygiene standards.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Technical certificate or diploma in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering from a recognized institution.
- Minimum four (4) years of experience working as Technician with FFS machines and palletizers or similar equipment.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
- Knowledgeable in the use of various tools and instruments for testing and repairing FFS machines.
- Ability to work under pressure, in various environmental conditions, and with different products.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and customer service skills.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain FFS machines and palletizers with utmost safety and reliability.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance as per guidelines.
- Repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, or hydraulic system faults.
- Test and calibrate components using appropriate tools.
- Document and report packaging activities and issues.
- Comply with safety regulations and use personal protective equipment.
- Assist with installation and relocation of machines.
- Provide technical support to other technicians/operators.
- Ensure efficient maintenance flow to reduce downtime.
- Manage spare parts warehouse effectively.
- Troubleshoot operational difficulties.
- Aid machine operators in their tasks.
- Follow maintenance-related rules and regulations.
- Collaborate with third-party service companies.
- Occasionally handle vessel pipelines.

- Palletize machine including connected equipment such as
- Check weigh
- Bag rejection system
- Printers
- Glue applicator
- Slip sheet dispenser
- Shrink frame / stretch machine
- Roller conveyors
- Belt throwers
- Pallet inverter
- Stretch wrap machine
- Scales
Basic Salary: QR 2,700 + Allowances
