All Trades Contract Services Ltd. is seeking an experienced Hydrovac Operator to perform hydro excavation work on-site while ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards. The ideal candidate will operate hydrovac trucks, coordinate work schedules, maintain equipment, and ensure high-quality service delivery.

HYDROVAC OPERATOR

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a Hydrovac Operator.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current/clean Class 1, 2, and 4 driver’s licenses with WTR endorsement.
• Ability to pass CCL supervised driving assessment.
• Experience with hydrovac truck operation, non-destructive digging, vacuum loading, waste transportation, and jetting/cleaning.
• Constructsafe Tier 1 certification.
• Current First Aid qualification.
• Completion of CCL Pathway Training for Team Members.
• Good English communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to study blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine job requirements.
• Competence in metal preparation, cutting, shaping, and bending using hand and machine tools.
• Welding experience using various techniques, including bolting and riveting.
• Knowledge of weld inspection, cleaning, finishing, and polishing.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate daily work schedules with the team and Operations Manager.
• Operate hydrovac trucks for excavation and waste transportation tasks.
• Ensure assigned hydrovac trucks are clean, well-maintained, and compliant for use.
• Follow instructions and perform work according to company and client requirements.
• Maintain currency of competencies and skills, including:
  • Driving and operating heavy and small powered plant
  • Manual handling and lifting
  • Slinging and lifting loads
  • Confined space work
  • Vehicle directing and spotting
• Conduct plant and equipment inspections using the INSPECT app.
• Record results of inspections, tests, and verification activities.
• Perform site checks on a roster basis, including after hours and weekends.
• Report any work or activities that do not meet requirements.
• Participate in Daily Toolbox meetings to assess and manage risks.
• Maintain a daily diary with pertinent work information and ensure timesheets are accurate and submitted on time.
• Ensure safety and environmental hazard controls are followed and managed.
• Represent the company positively on all sites.
• Attend CCL Smarten Up and Bi-monthly Health and Safety Meetings.
• Undertake any reasonable tasks or duties as required by the company.
