Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Qualifications:

• Vocational/Technical Mechanic Training in Automotive/Heavy Equipment or equivalent;
• Experience in automotive, truck, heavy equipment mechanic repairs.

Responsibilities:

• Performs repairs on gasoline and diesel engines, transmissions, and differentials.
• Inspects, dissasembles, repairs, adjusts, installs, and performs routine preventive maintenance on vehicles, construction equipment, machinery.
• Makes roadside repairs when needed.
• Maintains and installs all electrical components, such as starting and charging systems, directional lights, safety warning lights on all vehicles.
• Repair vehicle body and chassis parts using hand and power tools.
• Documents repairs done and maintained time and material records.
