Furniture Repairer / Furniture Carpenter

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Furniture Repairer or in a related role.
• Proficiency in using hand tools (e.g., saws, chisels, screwdrivers) and power tools (e.g., drills, sanders).
• Knowledge of wood properties, upholstery techniques, and finishing materials

Responsibilities:

• Inspect furniture to identify damages or structural issues that need repair, including cracks, splits, scratches, or loose joints.
• Repair or replace broken or defective parts using hand tools, adhesives, and power tools.
• Sand, stain, and polish furniture surfaces to restore or enhance appearance.
• Reupholster furniture by replacing fabric, springs, padding, and webbing as needed.
• Apply finishing touches, such as varnish, lacquer, or paint, to achieve the desired aesthetic effect.
