Mechanical Commissioning Technicians

Qualifications:

• Completion of a technical diploma, certificate, or associate degree program in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Systems, or a related field is typically required.

Technical Skills:

• Mechanical Systems Knowledge: Basic understanding of mechanical systems, equipment, components, and technologies, including HVAC systems, pumps, motors, fans, boilers, chillers, ventilation systems, plumbing systems, and associated infrastructure.
• Commissioning Procedures: Familiarity with commissioning plans, procedures, protocols, tests, and activities for mechanical systems and equipment, including the ability to assist with tests, inspections, measurements, diagnostics, and validations under the supervision of experienced professionals.
• Safety Protocols: Knowledge of safety practices, regulations, standards, and compliance requirements related to commissioning, mechanical operations, and equipment to ensure personal safety and the safe execution of commissioning activities.
• Tools and Equipment: Proficiency in using mechanical tools, testing instruments, meters, equipment, and diagnostic devices commonly used in commissioning tasks, tests, inspections, and troubleshooting activities.

Hands-On Experience:

• Field Experience: Relevant hands-on experience in mechanical, commissioning, or technician roles, including exposure to commissioning processes, procedures, practices, equipment, tools, and field conditions within specific industries and applications.
• Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated technical proficiency, practical skills, and competence in assisting with commissioning tasks, tests, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs related to mechanical systems and equipment under the guidance and supervision of experienced technicians or engineers.
