WORKSHOP TL / FOREMAN
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience as a Workshop Team Leader, Foreman, or in a similar supervisory role within an automotive or heavy vehicle workshop.
- Maximum age of 40 years old.
- Relevant training or certification in Automotive Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Workshop Supervision, or a related field is an advantage.
- Must possess a valid passport with at least 3 to 5 years of remaining validity before expiration.
- Strong knowledge of automotive or heavy vehicle repair, maintenance procedures, and workshop operations.
- Proven leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and supervise technical personnel.
- Proficient in the use of workshop diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and maintenance management systems.
- Excellent organizational, communication, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong commitment to quality, safety, and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of the workshop to ensure efficient workflow and productivity.
- Lead, train, and mentor mechanics and technicians, assigning work based on skills, priorities, and workload.
- Monitor repair and maintenance activities to ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications, company standards, and quality requirements.
- Inspect completed work to verify accuracy, safety, and quality before vehicle release.
- Plan and schedule workshop activities to meet production targets and delivery deadlines.
- Diagnose complex mechanical or technical issues and provide guidance to technicians when needed.
- Ensure proper use, maintenance, and availability of workshop tools, equipment, and diagnostic devices.
- Monitor inventory levels of spare parts, tools, and consumables, and coordinate replenishment as required.
- Enforce workplace health, safety, and environmental regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Maintain accurate service records, job progress reports, and workshop documentation.
- Coordinate with management, service advisors, and customers regarding repair status, technical concerns, and operational requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve workshop efficiency, productivity, and service quality.
- Perform other related duties assigned by management.
