AUTOMOTIVE PAINTER

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience as an Automotive Painter or in a similar role.
• Maximum age of 40 years old.
• Relevant training or certification in automotive painting, refinishing, or a related field is an advantage.
• Must possess a valid passport with at least 3 to 5 years of remaining validity before expiration.
• Strong knowledge of automotive paint systems, color matching, surface preparation, and spray painting techniques.
• Proficient in using spray guns, paint mixing equipment, polishing tools, and other refinishing equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and paint manufacturer guidelines.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce high-quality, defect-free finishes.
• Physically fit and able to work in a workshop environment while handling painting materials and equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare vehicle surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, masking, filling, and priming as required.
• Mix automotive paints, hardeners, and thinners to achieve the correct color, consistency, and finish.
• Apply primer, base coat, clear coat, and other finishing materials using spray guns and specialized painting equipment.
• Match paint colors accurately using color-matching systems and manufacturer specifications.
• Inspect painted surfaces for defects and perform polishing, buffing, and touch-up work to achieve a high-quality finish.
• Repair minor paint imperfections and restore damaged vehicle surfaces.
• Maintain spray booths, painting equipment, tools, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
• Follow proper handling, storage, and disposal procedures for paints, chemicals, and hazardous materials.
• Ensure compliance with workplace health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Coordinate with body repair technicians and supervisors to complete vehicle refinishing projects on schedule.
• Perform other related duties assigned by management.
