AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICIAN

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience as an Automotive Technician or in a similar role.
  • Maximum age of 40 years old.
  • Relevant training or certification in Automotive Technology or a related field is an advantage.
  • Must possess a valid passport with at least 3 to 5 years of remaining validity before expiration.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
  • Proficient in the use of automotive diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and workshop machinery.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer service specifications.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Physically fit and able to work in a workshop environment while handling manual tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults using diagnostic equipment and manual inspection techniques.
  • Perform preventive maintenance services, including oil changes, filter replacements, fluid checks, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
  • Repair and replace defective vehicle components such as engines, transmissions, suspension systems, steering systems, braking systems, exhaust systems, and electrical components.
  • Conduct engine tune-ups, wheel alignments, and other routine servicing according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Perform vehicle inspections to identify safety concerns and recommend necessary repairs.
  • Use automotive diagnostic tools, hand tools, and workshop equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Test-drive vehicles after repairs to verify proper operation and quality of workmanship.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, parts replacements, and maintenance activities.
  • Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized workshop.
  • Coordinate with supervisors and team members to complete repair work within established timelines.
  • Perform other related duties assigned by management.
