Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in MIG/MAG welding of stainless steel and/or carbon steel.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and welding markings/symbols.
- Strong attention to detail, precision, and commitment to high-quality welding standards.
- Positive attitude and professional approach to work.
- Motivated to learn new skills, techniques, and production processes.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining required quality standards.
- Willingness and readiness to work 2- to 3-shift schedules.
- Valid welding certificates are an advantage.
- Good proficiency in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
- Good understanding of workplace safety and proper welding practices.
- Physically fit and able to work in an industrial production environment.
- Reliable, responsible, hardworking, and committed to meeting production and quality requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Perform MIG/MAG welding on stainless steel and carbon steel components and structures.
- Set up and operate welding machines, equipment, tools, and related accessories according to job requirements.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, welding symbols, dimensions, and work instructions.
- Prepare materials and surfaces before welding, including cleaning, positioning, fitting, and securing components.
- Select and adjust appropriate welding parameters, including voltage, wire feed speed, current, and shielding gas, according to material and welding requirements.
- Perform tack welding and complete welding joints according to specified procedures.
- Maintain consistent weld quality, penetration, strength, appearance, and dimensional accuracy.
- Inspect completed welds for defects, irregularities, and compliance with quality standards.
- Perform basic grinding, cleaning, finishing, and corrective work on welded components when required.
- Use measuring tools and welding gauges to verify dimensions and alignment.
- Maintain welding equipment and work tools in good and safe working condition.
- Identify welding defects or equipment problems and report them to the supervisor or quality personnel.
- Follow established welding procedures, production schedules, technical specifications, and quality requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the production process.
- Follow occupational health and safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Work independently while coordinating effectively with welders, fabricators, supervisors, and other team members.
- Participate in shift work and adapt to changing production requirements.
- Maintain accurate and consistent work practices to meet production targets and deadlines.
- Perform other welding and fabrication-related duties assigned by the supervisor.
