TRUCK DRIVER
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience as a truck driver or heavy vehicle driver.
- At least a High School Graduate.
- Must possess a valid Philippine Driver’s License with Restrictions 1, 2, 3, and 8.
- Must have a valid C and E driving license/category as specified by the employer.
- Proven experience operating heavy trucks or commercial vehicles.
- Knowledge of basic truck inspection, preventive maintenance, and vehicle safety procedures.
- Ability to properly inspect, load, secure, and transport different types of cargo.
- Good understanding of road safety rules and responsible driving practices.
- Physically fit and capable of performing loading, unloading, and other duties when required.
- Responsible, disciplined, reliable, and safety-conscious.
- Able to follow routes, schedules, instructions, and company procedures accurately.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Willing to work flexible hours depending on delivery schedules and operational requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Drive heavy trucks and commercial vehicles over designated routes to transport raw materials, finished goods, and other cargo.
- Ensure that assigned deliveries are completed safely and on time.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Check tires, brakes, engine, lights, fluid levels, steering, and other essential vehicle components.
- Inspect and maintain cargo securement equipment to ensure loads are safely transported.
- Supervise or assist with the loading and unloading of freight when required.
- Properly secure cargo to prevent shifting, damage, or loss during transit.
- Verify delivery documents, cargo quantities, and other transportation-related paperwork.
- Follow assigned routes, schedules, delivery instructions, and traffic regulations.
- Maintain safe driving practices at all times.
- Monitor vehicle condition during trips and report mechanical problems or safety concerns promptly.
- Coordinate with dispatchers, warehouse personnel, supervisors, and customers regarding deliveries.
- Maintain accurate records of trips, deliveries, vehicle inspections, fuel usage, and other required information.
- Keep the assigned vehicle clean and in good operating condition.
- Perform basic vehicle checks and report required repairs or maintenance to the appropriate personnel.
- Follow company policies, road safety regulations, occupational safety procedures, and transportation requirements.
- Handle delivery-related documents responsibly and obtain required delivery confirmations.
- Exercise proper care when transporting fragile, heavy, or valuable cargo.
- Assist with other transportation, loading, unloading, and logistics-related duties as assigned.
