Grapecare LTD. is seeking qualified and physically fit Track Workers to join its railway infrastructure team in the Czech Republic. The successful candidates will perform construction, maintenance, repair, and trackbed works for railway, tram, and siding tracks. The role involves operating small-scale track machinery and power tools while following technical instructions, workplace safety procedures, and quality standards.

TRACK WORKER

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience is required.
• Must be at least a high school graduate.
• Physically fit and able to perform demanding outdoor and manual work without health restrictions.
• Experience in railway, tramway, siding track, civil construction, or related infrastructure work is an advantage.
• Able to operate small-scale track machinery, including tie screwdrivers, rail drills, sleeper drills, and hand-held tamping tools.
• Able to operate cut-off saws and rail cutting saws.
• Experience operating mini-excavators is required.
• Knowledge of trackbed construction, maintenance, drainage, and ditch works.
• Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment.
• Good understanding of workplace safety procedures and proper use of personal protective equipment.
• Physically capable of standing, walking, bending, lifting, and working outdoors for extended periods.
• Able to follow technical instructions, safety rules, and directions from supervisors.
• Reliable, hardworking, disciplined, and safety-conscious.
• Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

• Perform construction, maintenance, and repair work on railway, tram, and siding tracks.
• Assist in the installation, maintenance, adjustment, and repair of track components.
• Perform trackbed preparation and maintenance activities.
• Install, maintain, and repair drainage systems, ditches, and other trackbed infrastructure.
• Prepare work areas and materials for track construction and maintenance activities.
• Assist with the positioning, alignment, and securing of rails, sleepers, and related track components.
• Operate small-scale track machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Operate tie screwdrivers, rail drills, sleeper drills, and hand-held tamping tools as required.
• Operate cut-off saws and rail cutting saws for cutting and preparing rail materials.
• Operate mini-excavators for trackbed, drainage, excavation, and related construction activities.
• Perform basic excavation, backfilling, leveling, and material handling tasks.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and track maintenance equipment appropriately.
• Assist in removing damaged, worn, or defective track components.
• Support the installation and replacement of railway sleepers, rails, fasteners, and other track materials.
• Check work areas and track components for visible defects, damage, or maintenance requirements.
• Follow measurements, technical instructions, drawings, and specifications provided by supervisors.
• Maintain tools, machinery, and equipment in good working condition and report defects or damage.
• Load, unload, move, and position track materials and equipment safely.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and free from unnecessary hazards.
• Follow railway worksite safety procedures, PPE requirements, and instructions regarding working around active or controlled railway areas.
• Coordinate with track workers, machine operators, supervisors, and other construction personnel.
• Complete assigned work efficiently while maintaining quality and safety standards.
• Perform other railway track construction, maintenance, and repair duties assigned by the supervisor.
