Technician

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience is required.
• Candidates must possess a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate in Others or a similar technical field.
• Experience in maintaining paper cup production machines or similar manufacturing equipment is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair industrial machinery and production equipment.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance procedures and equipment inspection.
• Ability to read and understand basic technical manuals, machine diagrams, and maintenance instructions.
• Good problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
• Physically fit and capable of working in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with machine operators and production personnel.
• Male applicants are preferred for this role.

Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive maintenance on paper cup production machines according to established maintenance schedules.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic equipment problems.
• Diagnose machine faults and determine appropriate repair or maintenance procedures.
• Install, set up, adjust, and calibrate production machines before and during production operations.
• Inspect machines and equipment regularly to ensure proper operation, safety, and performance.
• Replace worn, damaged, or defective machine components and parts as required.
• Assist machine operators in identifying and resolving equipment problems during production.
• Respond promptly to machine breakdowns and perform necessary repairs to minimize production downtime.
• Conduct routine checks of machine components, electrical connections, pneumatic systems, and mechanical assemblies.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, repair logs, and equipment service documentation.
• Report major equipment defects, recurring problems, and significant repairs to the supervisor or maintenance manager.
• Follow proper safety procedures when operating tools, performing repairs, and working around production machinery.
• Ensure tools, spare parts, and maintenance equipment are properly maintained and stored.
• Assist with machine installation, modification, and improvement projects when required.
• Coordinate with production personnel to schedule maintenance activities while minimizing disruption to operations.
• Perform other technical and maintenance duties as assigned by management.
