Job Location: Qatar
Start Smart Educational Center is seeking qualified and experienced Teachers specializing in English and Mathematics to join its educational team in Qatar. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging English lessons, teaching basic Mathematics, managing classroom activities, assessing student progress, and creating a positive learning environment that supports students’ academic development.
TEACHER (English & Math)
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
- Passer of the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) – required.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and oral.
- Ability to teach basic Mathematics alongside English lessons.
- At least 3–5 years of hands-on classroom teaching experience.
- Strong classroom management and student engagement skills.
- Positive, energetic, patient, and student-focused attitude.
- Ability to create an encouraging and productive learning environment.
- Strong lesson planning, organization, assessment, and communication skills.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to different student abilities and learning needs.
- ESL certification, such as TESOL, TEFL, or CELTA, is an advantage.
- Previous ESL teaching experience or experience working as an ESL teacher/instructor is an advantage.
- Good interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Responsible, professional, reliable, and committed to students’ academic development.
- Willing to work in a multicultural educational environment and follow school policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging English lessons appropriate to students’ learning levels and educational needs.
- Teach basic Mathematics concepts alongside English lessons using clear and age-appropriate methods.
- Prepare lesson plans, instructional materials, activities, exercises, and assessments.
- Explain English grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension concepts effectively.
- Teach fundamental mathematical concepts and problem-solving skills.
- Assess students’ academic progress through classroom activities, assignments, quizzes, and examinations.
- Provide constructive feedback to students to help improve their academic performance.
- Adapt teaching strategies and materials to accommodate different learning abilities and needs.
- Maintain effective classroom management and establish a positive, respectful, and productive learning environment.
- Encourage student participation, confidence, communication, and active learning.
- Monitor student attendance, behavior, participation, and overall classroom performance.
- Identify students who require additional academic support and provide appropriate assistance.
- Communicate students’ progress and learning concerns with parents, guardians, and school management when required.
- Maintain accurate lesson plans, student records, grades, assessments, and other required documentation.
- Use appropriate educational technology and teaching resources to enhance classroom instruction.
- Incorporate interactive activities and practical exercises to make lessons engaging and effective.
- Maintain professional standards, school policies, and established curriculum requirements.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, school activities, and educational programs.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and school staff to support students’ overall development.
- Maintain a positive, energetic, professional, and supportive attitude toward students.
- Perform other teaching and academic duties assigned by school management.
