Sushi Chef

Qualifications:

• Male applicants are preferred
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Sushi Chef in a restaurant or hotel.
• Skilled in fish filleting, sushi rice preparation, and knife handling.
• Knowledge of traditional and modern sushi techniques.
• Strong attention to detail, taste, and presentation.
• Ability to work under pressure and maintain high standards.
• Advance English communication skills.
• Team-oriented, disciplined, and punctual.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve various types of sushi such as maki, nigiri, sashimi, temaki, and specialty rolls.
• Ensure the freshness, quality, and proper storage of all ingredients, especially seafood.
• Maintain consistency in taste, texture, and presentation according to Japanese culinary standards.
• Cook and season sushi rice properly and maintain accurate rice preparation ratios.
• Prepare accompaniments such as wasabi, sauces, and garnishes.
• Ensure strict hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety throughout the preparation process.
• Maintain the sushi bar area, utensils, and equipment in clean working condition.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to coordinate smooth and timely food service.
• Follow all HACCP and sanitation protocols.
