SUPERVISOR (AV PROJECT ENGINEER)

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 year(s) of working experience is required.
  • Candidates must be a Bachelor’s / College Degree holder in Engineering (Civil); Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication); Engineering (Material Science); Engineering (Others) or similar fields.
  • Male applicants are preferred for this role.
  • CTS Certification is required; CTS-D or CTS-I certification is preferred.
  • Strong expertise in AV system design, signal flow, system architecture, and engineering calculations, including bandwidth, load, acoustic coverage, and display sizing.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Visio, or similar design software, as well as AV design documentation and simulation tools.
  • Strong communication, coordination, and technical leadership skills with experience working with multidisciplinary project teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop complete AV system designs from initial concept through installation, testing, commissioning, and handover.
  • Conduct site surveys, assess client requirements, and develop appropriate AV solutions based on project needs.
  • Prepare signal flow diagrams, schematics, system topologies, rack layouts, elevations, cable schedules, BOQs, and technical specifications.
  • Review architectural, structural, and MEP drawings to ensure proper AV system coordination and integration.
  • Ensure AV designs comply with AVIXA standards, IT/networking best practices, and project requirements.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, consultants, contractors, vendors, and site teams throughout the project.
  • Provide technical guidance during installation, testing, commissioning, and client demonstrations.

Employer Overview:

Al Boraq Automobiles Company is fully owned and registered in the Qatari Chamber of Commerce under the name of: Salman J. Al Darwish. Official operation started on 1st October 2005 and 1st unit delivered on 5th November 2005. The construction of the workshop started on 1st of August 2005 and 1st vehicle was received for repairs on 1st of October 2005, only two months later. Workshop facility was completed December 2005. The official inauguration of Showroom and Workshop by Dr. Wendelin Wiedeking took place on 14th of March 2006. Launch of the company and the new Cayman S on December 2006. Qatar Record sales of 347 units on the 1st year of operation. Inauguration of Quick Service Centre in January 2009.
