Eram Manpower Services is seeking qualified and experienced Structural Fitters to work in the United Arab Emirates. The successful candidates will be responsible for fitting, assembling, aligning, and preparing structural steel components for fabrication and installation. Candidates with experience in Oil & Gas projects are highly preferred. The role requires accuracy, technical knowledge, and the ability to follow drawings, specifications, safety procedures, and project requirements.

STRUCTURAL FITTER

Qualifications:

• Male, not more than 45 years old.
• Relevant work experience as a Structural Fitter or in the same or a similar position.
• Previous experience in Oil & Gas projects is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of the duties and responsibilities of a Structural Fitter.
• Knowledge of structural steel fabrication, fitting, assembly, alignment, and installation.
• Ability to read and understand structural drawings, fabrication drawings, layouts, measurements, and technical instructions.
• Familiarity with structural steel materials, including beams, columns, plates, channels, angles, brackets, and supports.
• Ability to accurately measure, mark, cut, fit, and align structural steel components.
• Knowledge of fit-up procedures and preparation of structural components for welding.
• Ability to safely operate common hand tools, power tools, cutting equipment, grinders, and measuring instruments.
• Good understanding of workplace safety practices and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Physically capable of performing hands-on structural fitting work in industrial, construction, or Oil & Gas environments.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to follow technical instructions, work procedures, and project specifications.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Reliable, hardworking, disciplined, and able to work effectively in a demanding industrial environment.

Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret structural drawings, fabrication drawings, layouts, and technical specifications.
• Measure, mark, cut, and prepare structural steel materials according to required dimensions.
• Fit and assemble structural steel components such as beams, columns, plates, angles, channels, brackets, frames, and supports.
• Position and align structural components accurately before welding or final assembly.
• Perform structural steel fit-up according to approved drawings and project specifications.
• Check dimensions, levels, angles, alignment, and tolerances of structural components.
• Prepare materials and components for welding and coordinate with welders during fabrication activities.
• Install temporary supports, clamps, braces, and other fit-up devices to maintain proper alignment.
• Use hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, grinders, cutting equipment, and other fitting tools safely and correctly.
• Perform grinding, cleaning, beveling, and other preparation work required for structural fabrication.
• Assist in the fabrication and assembly of structural steel frameworks, platforms, walkways, supports, and related components.
• Ensure that fabricated structures are properly fitted and ready for welding or installation.
• Identify dimensional errors, misalignment, material defects, and other fabrication issues and report them to the supervisor.
• Make necessary adjustments and corrections to achieve proper fit-up and alignment.
• Coordinate with welders, fabricators, riggers, crane operators, supervisors, engineers, and other project personnel.
• Assist with the positioning and installation of structural steel components at project sites.
• Follow approved fabrication procedures, drawings, method statements, and technical instructions.
• Conduct basic inspections of tools and equipment before use and report defective equipment.
• Handle and position steel materials safely using appropriate lifting and material-handling procedures.
• Maintain proper housekeeping and keep work areas, tools, and equipment clean and organized.
• Follow company safety policies, PPE requirements, and applicable construction and Oil & Gas safety procedures.
• Minimize material waste through accurate measurement, cutting, fitting, and proper material handling.
• Assist with structural repair, modification, maintenance, and installation activities as required.
• Perform other structural fitting and related duties assigned by the supervisor or management.
