STOREKEEPER

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience.
• Must be at least a High School Graduate.
• Male applicants are preferred for this role.
• Previous experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, or storekeeping is preferred.
• Knowledgeable in receiving, inspecting, checking, storing, issuing, and releasing materials and supplies.
• Familiar with inventory control, stock monitoring, and physical inventory procedures.
• Ability to accurately check quantities, specifications, item descriptions, and conditions of received goods.
• Basic ability to maintain inventory records and document stock movements.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of keeping storage areas properly arranged.
• Able to identify and report inventory discrepancies, damaged goods, and stock shortages.
• Physically capable of lifting, carrying, moving, and organizing materials as required.
• Able to work effectively with warehouse staff, supervisors, suppliers, and other departments.
• Reliable, hardworking, disciplined, and safety-conscious.
• Willing to perform routine, repetitive, and physically demanding storekeeping tasks when required.

Responsibilities:

• Receive incoming goods, materials, equipment, spare parts, and supplies from suppliers and authorized sources.
• Inspect delivered items to verify quantities, specifications, descriptions, and physical condition against delivery documents.
• Report shortages, damaged items, incorrect deliveries, or discrepancies to the supervisor or appropriate department.
• Properly store and organize materials according to established warehouse and storekeeping procedures.
• Ensure items are properly labeled, identified, and arranged for easy access and retrieval.
• Monitor stock levels and maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records.
• Issue and release materials, tools, supplies, and other items only upon proper authorization.
• Record all incoming and outgoing inventory transactions accurately.
• Conduct regular stock counts and physical inventory checks to verify recorded quantities.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies and report variances to the supervisor.
• Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels and inform management when replenishment is required.
• Ensure proper storage conditions to prevent damage, deterioration, loss, or contamination of materials.
• Arrange stock according to type, size, usage, and established storage procedures.
• Maintain organized records of purchase orders, delivery notes, material requisitions, and stock releases.
• Coordinate with purchasing, production, maintenance, and other departments regarding material requirements.
• Prepare materials and supplies for authorized issuance to production, maintenance, installation, and other work teams.
• Apply appropriate stock rotation practices to ensure older or earlier-received items are properly utilized when applicable.
• Keep the store and warehouse areas clean, orderly, secure, and free from unnecessary hazards.
• Handle materials safely and use appropriate equipment for lifting, moving, and storing items.
• Report damaged, obsolete, expired, or slow-moving inventory to management.
• Follow company policies, inventory-control procedures, workplace safety rules, and proper material-handling practices.
• Perform other storekeeping, warehouse, and inventory-related duties assigned by management.
