STEP-DOWN/ICU NURSE
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of relevant nursing experience.
- Must have recent experience as a Step-Down Nurse or ICU Nurse.
- Must be a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Must have passed the required professional nursing licensure examination.
- NCLEX passer required.
- Strong clinical assessment and patient-monitoring skills.
- Experience caring for patients requiring close monitoring and higher levels of care.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment.
- Compassionate, responsible, adaptable, and patient-focused.
- Willing to undergo the required USRN screening and recruitment process.
- Willing to participate in a direct interview with US recruiters, if selected.
- Must be prepared to attend the required virtual orientation before the recruitment event.
- Willing to comply with applicable US nursing employment and credentialing requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in Step-Down, ICU, and critical care settings.
- Monitor patients closely and assess changes in their condition.
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and document patient conditions accurately.
- Monitor vital signs, cardiac status, oxygenation, fluid balance, and other relevant clinical parameters.
- Identify signs of patient deterioration and promptly escalate concerns to physicians and senior healthcare professionals.
- Administer medications and treatments safely according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Perform nursing procedures appropriate to the patient’s condition and level of care.
- Assist in managing patients requiring close observation and continuous monitoring.
- Operate and monitor appropriate medical equipment according to hospital procedures and training.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records and nursing documentation.
- Develop and implement nursing care plans based on patient needs.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, and other members of the healthcare team.
- Participate in patient handovers and multidisciplinary care planning.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families.
- Follow infection prevention and control procedures.
- Maintain patient safety and comply with hospital policies and clinical standards.
- Respond appropriately to emergencies and rapidly changing patient conditions.
- Demonstrate sound clinical judgment, critical thinking, and effective decision-making.
- Maintain professional nursing standards and ethical practices.
- Participate in required training and professional development activities.
- Perform other nursing duties assigned by the healthcare facility.
