Steel Fixer

Qualifications:

• Male applicants, preferably 25–43 years old.
• High school or vocational graduate.
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience is required.
• Proven experience as a Steel Fixer, Ironworker, Rebar Worker, Welder, or in a similar position.
• Valid GMAW (MIG/MAG) or SMAW (Stick Welding) certificate is required.
• Ability to create reinforced concrete cages for columns, beams, trusses, and similar structures from cut and bent steel after training.
• Able to read and understand technical drawings and reinforcement plans.
• Experience in concrete construction is an advantage.
• Skilled in welding and binding reinforcing steel according to technical drawings and specifications.
• Good understanding of steel reinforcement, cutting, bending, positioning, tying, and welding techniques.
• Strong ability to work accurately with measurements, dimensions, spacing, and alignment requirements.
• Good knowledge of construction site safety and proper use of PPE.
• Physically fit and capable of performing demanding construction work.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Reliable, hardworking, accurate, punctual, and flexible.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a construction team.
• Willing to follow instructions, undergo required training, and adapt to established work procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and install reinforcing steel and reinforcement components for concrete construction projects.
• Create reinforced concrete cages for columns, beams, trusses, and other structural elements according to technical drawings.
• Cut and bend reinforcing steel to the required dimensions and specifications.
• Weld and bind steel reinforcement securely according to approved drawings and construction requirements.
• Perform MIG/MAG (GMAW) or SMAW (Stick Welding) work when required.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, reinforcement plans, measurements, and construction specifications.
• Measure steel bars and reinforcement materials accurately before cutting, bending, welding, or assembly.
• Position and secure reinforcing bars, mesh, and other steel components in preparation for concrete pouring.
• Ensure proper spacing, alignment, dimensions, and positioning of reinforcement according to project requirements.
• Assemble reinforcement cages and structural steel components accurately and efficiently.
• Inspect completed reinforcement work to ensure it meets approved drawings and quality standards.
• Coordinate with concrete workers, welders, construction workers, and other site personnel to ensure smooth project execution.
• Assist with the preparation and handling of steel materials, tools, and equipment at the construction site.
• Maintain work areas, tools, and equipment in a clean, safe, and organized condition.
• Follow proper welding, steel fixing, construction, and workplace safety procedures.
• Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when performing welding, cutting, bending, and other construction activities.
• Identify and report incorrect measurements, damaged materials, drawing discrepancies, or other technical issues to the supervisor.
• Perform work accurately while meeting project schedules and required productivity standards.
• Adapt to different construction tasks and work requirements following appropriate training.
• Minimize material waste through accurate measurement, cutting, and proper handling of reinforcing steel.
• Perform other steel fixing, welding, reinforcement, and construction-related duties assigned by management.
