Job Location: Mozambique
Daeah Engineering & Construction Co. Ltd is seeking a qualified and experienced Structural Steel Engineer to oversee the design, fabrication, and installation of structural steel components for construction projects in Mozambique. The successful candidate will ensure that all structural steel works are executed in accordance with engineering standards, project specifications, and applicable safety and quality requirements.
STEEL STRUCTURAL ENGINEER
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience as a Structural Steel Engineer or in a similar engineering role is required.
- Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s / College Degree in Engineering (Others) or a related engineering field.
- Strong knowledge of structural steel design, fabrication, erection, and inspection practices.
- Familiarity with applicable engineering codes, standards, and construction regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, structural calculations, and technical specifications.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project coordination skills.
Responsibilities:
- Design and supervise the fabrication and installation of structural steel components in accordance with engineering standards and project specifications.
- Prepare, review, and verify structural steel designs to ensure safety, quality, and compliance with applicable codes and regulations.
- Manage structural steel construction activities, including fabrication, erection, and inspection, to ensure projects are completed on schedule.
- Review engineering drawings, calculations, and technical documents to ensure accuracy and constructability.
- Coordinate with project managers, fabricators, contractors, and site teams to resolve technical issues and maintain project progress.
- Monitor quality control procedures and ensure all structural steel work complies with project requirements and industry standards.
- Conduct site inspections and provide technical support during fabrication and erection activities.
- Prepare technical reports, progress updates, and documentation related to structural steel engineering activities.
