Yamama Cement Factory is seeking a skilled and experienced Steam Power Plant Technician to support the operation, maintenance, and reliability of steam power generation systems in Saudi Arabia. This opportunity is ideal for industrial technicians with strong knowledge of steam generation equipment, turbines, boilers, pumps, valves, and related mechanical and utility systems.

STEAM POWER PLANT TECHNICIAN

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Steam Power Plant Technician, Power Plant Technician, Boiler Technician, or similar industrial position is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of steam boilers, turbines, generators, pumps, valves, piping, cooling systems, and auxiliary power plant equipment.
• Experience in the operation, inspection, troubleshooting, and maintenance of steam power generation systems.
• Ability to monitor plant operating parameters and identify abnormal equipment conditions.
• Strong mechanical and technical troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of industrial safety procedures, lockout/tagout requirements, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Physically fit and capable of working in a demanding industrial environment with heat, noise, and machinery.
• Responsible, attentive, reliable, and able to work rotating shifts.
• Able to work effectively with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams.

Responsibilities:

• Operate, inspect, and maintain steam power plant equipment and associated utility systems.
• Monitor the operating condition and performance of boilers, steam turbines, generators, pumps, compressors, valves, and auxiliary equipment.
• Check operating parameters such as temperature, pressure, steam flow, water levels, and other critical readings.
• Perform routine inspections to identify leaks, abnormal noise, vibration, overheating, pressure changes, and other equipment issues.
• Assist with the startup, shutdown, isolation, and restoration of steam power plant equipment according to established procedures.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and operational problems and coordinate appropriate corrective actions with maintenance personnel.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on steam generation and power plant equipment as required.
• Inspect and maintain pumps, valves, piping, heat exchangers, cooling systems, and other steam and utility equipment.
• Assist during planned shutdowns, equipment overhauls, inspections, testing, and major maintenance activities.
• Coordinate with engineers, operators, electricians, mechanics, and other plant personnel to ensure reliable power plant operations.
• Record equipment readings, inspections, maintenance activities, faults, repairs, and other operational information accurately.
• Monitor water and steam system conditions and report abnormal operating parameters to the appropriate supervisor.
• Ensure tools, testing equipment, and maintenance equipment are used properly and safely.
• Follow established safety procedures, lockout/tagout requirements, permit-to-work systems, and emergency response procedures.
• Maintain good housekeeping and ensure safe working conditions within the steam power plant and equipment areas.
• Perform other steam power plant operation, maintenance, and technical duties assigned by management.
