Keva SARL is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Sous Chef to support kitchen operations in Cameroon. The successful candidate will work closely with the Head Chef and Executive Chef in managing daily kitchen activities and ensuring high-quality food preparation, with a strong focus on Asian cuisines.
Sous Chef
Qualifications:
- Male or Female applicants accepted
- Minimum of 7 years experience in kitchen operations
- At least 2 years of experience working as a Sous Chef
- Minimum 2 years of overseas kitchen experience (required)
- Strong knowledge of Asian cuisines (Japanese, Thai, Malay, Chinese, etc.)
- Good communication skills in English
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen environment
- Excellent understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
- Creative, detail-oriented, and highly organized
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef and Executive Chef in managing overall kitchen operations
- Supervise food preparation, cooking, and presentation standards
- Ensure consistency and quality of dishes served
- Coordinate and guide kitchen staff during service
- Maintain food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times
- Assist in menu planning and development, especially for Asian cuisine offerings
- Monitor inventory, stock levels, and kitchen supplies
- Ensure efficient workflow during busy service periods
- Support training and development of kitchen staff
