Yamama Cement Factory is seeking an experienced and technically skilled Senior Electrician – Electrical Maintenance Unit to support electrical maintenance and equipment reliability in Saudi Arabia. This opportunity is ideal for experienced electrical professionals with strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and electrical equipment used in cement manufacturing and heavy industrial operations.
SENIOR ELECTRICIAN – ELECTRICAL MAINTENANCE UNIT
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Senior Electrician, Industrial Electrician, or Electrical Maintenance Technician in a cement manufacturing or heavy industrial environment.
- Strong experience in industrial electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, and repair.
- Good knowledge of electric motors, switchgear, transformers, control panels, electrical distribution systems, control circuits, and industrial wiring.
- Strong ability to diagnose electrical faults and implement safe and effective corrective actions.
- Ability to read and understand electrical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documents.
- Experience providing technical guidance or leading electricians during maintenance and repair activities.
- Strong knowledge of industrial electrical safety procedures, lockout/tagout, and safe working practices.
- Physically fit and capable of working in a demanding cement plant environment.
- Responsible, detail-oriented, technically capable, and able to work effectively with electrical and maintenance teams.
Responsibilities:
- Perform and oversee electrical maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, testing, and repair of industrial equipment and electrical systems.
- Inspect motors, control panels, switchgear, transformers, cables, electrical distribution systems, sensors, and other electrical components.
- Diagnose electrical faults and determine appropriate repair, replacement, adjustment, or maintenance requirements.
- Carry out preventive and corrective electrical maintenance according to established schedules, technical specifications, and manufacturer recommendations.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical motors, starters, contactors, relays, control circuits, and distribution equipment.
- Perform electrical testing and measurements using appropriate test instruments and diagnostic equipment.
- Assist with installation, wiring, commissioning, modification, and maintenance of electrical equipment and systems.
- Monitor electrical equipment performance and identify potential failures to minimize unexpected breakdowns and production downtime.
- Coordinate with mechanical maintenance, production, operations, engineers, and other departments to resolve equipment-related problems.
- Provide technical guidance and support to electricians and electrical maintenance personnel during complex troubleshooting and repair activities.
- Assist with planned shutdowns, major equipment overhauls, inspections, testing, and electrical maintenance projects.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, equipment manuals, and technical specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of electrical inspections, maintenance activities, equipment faults, repairs, testing results, and spare parts used.
- Ensure electrical tools, test instruments, equipment, and work areas are properly maintained and safely used.
- Follow lockout/tagout procedures, permit-to-work requirements, electrical safety practices, and other industrial safety standards.
- Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintain good housekeeping in electrical maintenance areas.
- Perform other electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and technical duties assigned by management.
