Saudi Factory for Fire Equipment Company (SFFECO) is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Cost Accountant to oversee cost accounting, product costing, inventory valuation, manufacturing cost analysis, and financial reporting in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will play a key role in analyzing manufacturing costs, monitoring production variances, supporting budgeting and forecasting, and providing accurate financial information to management. Candidates with strong experience in steel, metal fabrication, or industrial manufacturing and advanced knowledge of Oracle E-Business Suite R11/R12 are highly encouraged to apply.
SENIOR COST ACCOUNTANT
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Cost Accounting, Accounting, Finance, or a related field, preferably with a specialization in Cost Accounting.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in cost accounting within a manufacturing company.
- Experience in steel, metal fabrication, or similar industrial manufacturing is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of product costing, standard costing, BOM, routing, overhead allocation, inventory valuation, and manufacturing cost analysis.
- Excellent understanding of manufacturing processes involving raw materials, WIP, finished goods, and production variance analysis.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle E-Business Suite R11/R12.
- Strong expertise in Oracle Manufacturing and Costing modules, particularly Cost Management, Inventory, Bills of Material (BOM), Work in Process (WIP), and Purchasing.
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, and KPI preparation.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with manufacturing, finance, procurement, and supply chain teams.
- GCC experience, particularly in Saudi Arabia or the UAE, is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Manage daily cost accounting activities for the manufacturing operation.
- Develop and maintain accurate product costing and standard costing models.
- Analyze bills of materials (BOM), production routings, labor, materials, and manufacturing overhead costs.
- Calculate and monitor manufacturing costs for raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods.
- Perform detailed production variance analysis and investigate significant cost variances.
- Monitor raw material consumption, labor costs, overhead allocation, and production expenses.
- Support accurate inventory valuation and reconciliation of inventory-related accounts.
- Analyze manufacturing processes to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve cost efficiency.
- Prepare cost reports, management reports, financial analysis, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Collaborate with Production, Supply Chain, Procurement, Inventory, Finance, and other departments on cost-related matters.
- Review and validate BOMs, routings, inventory transactions, production costs, and manufacturing data.
- Monitor standard costs and recommend updates based on changes in material, labor, overhead, and production conditions.
- Assist management in evaluating product profitability and manufacturing performance.
- Prepare monthly cost accounting reports and provide explanations for significant variances.
- Ensure cost accounting records comply with company policies and applicable accounting standards.
- Utilize Oracle E-Business Suite to manage and analyze manufacturing and costing information.
- Maintain accurate cost accounting documentation and support internal and external audits.
- Provide recommendations to management regarding manufacturing costs, operational efficiency, and financial performance.
