RETAIL MANAGER

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Retail Management, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in retail management, preferably in the fashion industry.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Proficiency in inventory management and sales analysis.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work under pressure.
  • Knowledge of current fashion trends and the retail market landscape.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Physical stamina to stand and move around the store for extended periods.
  • Familiarity with POS systems and basic computer proficiency.
  • A passion for fashion and a keen eye for style.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, train, and supervise retail staff. Schedule shifts and manage employee performance, providing feedback and guidance as needed.
  • Foster a positive work environment conducive to teamwork and exceptional customer service.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate goals, promotions, and updates.
  • Ensure that all customers receive outstanding service by providing a friendly and helpful shopping experience.
  • Address customer inquiries, complaints, and concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Train staff on excellent customer service practices and lead by example.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve or exceed store targets.
  • Analyze sales reports and trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Monitor and control expenses to optimize profitability.
  • Oversee inventory levels and ensure accurate stock replenishment.
  • Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to maintain adequate stock levels and negotiate favorable terms.
  • Ensure that the store layout and displays are visually appealing and in line with brand standards.
  • Implement merchandising strategies to highlight new arrivals, promotions, and seasonal trends.
  • Train staff on merchandising techniques to maximize sales potential.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards throughout the store.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Troubleshoot operational issues and implement solutions promptly.
