Turra Holdings Ltd is seeking an experienced Preservation Lead to oversee the inspection, maintenance, and preservation of materials and equipment. The ideal candidate will ensure that all materials are stored, handled, and preserved according to industry standards, project specifications, and company policies, minimizing corrosion, damage, and deterioration.

Preservation Lead

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Preservation Lead or in a similar role.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of material properties, corrosion prevention techniques, and preservation methods.
• Ability to identify and assess material condition and potential issues.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to effectively communicate with team members and stakeholders.
• Skilled in maintaining accurate and detailed records.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and project requirements related to material preservation.
• Ability to work effectively with various teams and departments.
• Physically capable of performing tasks requiring manual handling and effort.
• Initiative, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough visual and documented inspections of materials, equipment, and storage areas to identify potential issues such as corrosion, damage, or deterioration.
• Apply appropriate preservation methods, including cleaning, drying, applying protective coatings (e.g., corrosion inhibitors), and using specialized packaging techniques.
• Install and replace protective covers to shield components from environmental factors.
• Manually rotate shafts and other mechanical components to prevent seizing and ensure proper functioning.
• Store materials under appropriate conditions, maintaining proper temperature, humidity, and cleanliness in storage areas.
• Use desiccants and specialized packaging to protect sensitive electronics and components from moisture.
• Maintain detailed records of inspections, preservation activities, non-conformities, and other relevant documentation.
• Collaborate with procurement, logistics, construction, and other teams to ensure proper handling, storage, and preservation of materials.
• Implement preventative measures to minimize the risk of material damage or deterioration.
• Participate in quality control checks and audits to ensure preservation efforts meet established standards.
• Provide training and guidance to team members on preservation techniques and best practices.
• Ensure availability of necessary supplies and materials for preservation activities.
