PLUMBER

Qualifications:

  • Male applicants are preferred for this position.
  • Technical Diploma or equivalent qualification in Plumbing, Building Services, or a related field.
  • At least four (4) years of relevant experience in the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of plumbing systems.
  • Practical knowledge of plumbing components and systems, including valves, fittings, water supply lines, drainage systems, and various types of pumps.
  • Ability to read and interpret plumbing drawings, layouts, and technical specifications.
  • Skilled in identifying plumbing defects, leaks, blockages, and equipment malfunctions.
  • Familiarity with plumbing tools, testing equipment, pipes, fittings, and installation materials.
  • Knowledge of water supply, drainage, and wastewater systems commonly used in commercial and residential facilities.
  • Good troubleshooting, problem-solving, and technical skills.
  • Knowledge of workplace safety procedures and proper use of plumbing tools and equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair plumbing systems in buildings and facilities.
  • Read and interpret plumbing drawings, layouts, and technical specifications to carry out installation and repair work accurately.
  • Inspect water supply lines, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and pumps to identify leaks, damage, blockages, and other defects.
  • Repair or replace faulty pipes, valves, fittings, fixtures, and plumbing components.
  • Maintain and service different types of pumps and related plumbing equipment to ensure efficient operation.
  • Install and maintain water supply, drainage, and wastewater systems in accordance with technical requirements.
  • Investigate plumbing complaints and respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repair needs.
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to help avoid leaks, blockages, and system failures.
  • Test repaired or newly installed plumbing systems to ensure proper water flow, pressure, and drainage.
  • Identify potential plumbing problems and recommend appropriate corrective measures.
  • Use plumbing tools, equipment, and materials safely and efficiently.
  • Record inspection results, maintenance activities, repairs, and materials used when required.
  • Coordinate with other maintenance personnel and supervisors to complete assigned work orders on schedule.
  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas and properly store tools and equipment.
  • Follow workplace health and safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Perform other related plumbing and maintenance duties assigned by the supervisor or management.
