Working International Resourcing Limited is seeking qualified and experienced Plumbers to work in New Zealand. The successful candidates will perform civil drainage and underground services work, including the installation, connection, maintenance, and repair of manholes, sewage systems, stormwater networks, and wastewater pipes. The position requires practical underground plumbing experience, the ability to work safely on construction sites, and a strong understanding of drainage and pipe installation procedures.
PLUMBER
Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of verifiable work experience in civil drainage or underground services.
- Proven work experience installing, connecting, and repairing manholes, sewage pipes, stormwater pipes, and wastewater pipes.
- At least High School Graduate.
- Strong practical knowledge of underground drainage and pipe installation.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, drainage plans, and project specifications.
- Good understanding of pipe alignment, connections, joints, drainage systems, and underground construction practices.
- Valid Driver’s License – Code AB.
- Physically fit and capable of performing hands-on work in construction and underground environments.
- Ability to work safely in trenches, construction sites, and varying outdoor conditions.
- Good teamwork, communication, reliability, and problem-solving skills.
- Willing to take IELTS or PTE and achieve a minimum score of 4.0 in IELTS or 29 in PTE.
Responsibilities:
- Install, connect, maintain, and repair civil drainage and underground services.
- Install and connect sewage, stormwater, and wastewater pipe systems according to project specifications.
- Construct, install, and maintain manholes and associated drainage structures.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, drainage plans, site layouts, and pipe installation specifications.
- Prepare trenches and work areas for the installation of underground drainage and pipe systems.
- Measure, cut, position, align, and join pipes according to required specifications.
- Install pipe fittings, connections, joints, manholes, drainage components, and related underground infrastructure.
- Inspect existing drainage and underground pipe systems to identify leaks, blockages, damage, or other defects.
- Repair damaged or defective sewage, stormwater, and wastewater pipes and connections.
- Ensure pipes are correctly aligned, graded, supported, and securely connected.
- Conduct appropriate checks and testing of installed drainage systems to ensure proper operation.
- Use hand tools, power tools, pipe-cutting equipment, measuring instruments, and other plumbing equipment safely.
- Coordinate with civil construction workers, excavator operators, supervisors, engineers, and other site personnel.
- Follow project schedules and complete assigned drainage and underground service work efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Identify and report underground service hazards, unsafe conditions, damaged equipment, or technical issues to supervisors.
- Properly handle pipes, fittings, tools, machinery, and construction materials.
- Follow approved construction methods, project specifications, company procedures, and New Zealand workplace safety requirements.
- Perform other plumbing, drainage, and underground service duties assigned by management.
