PLATE WELDER

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience as a Plate Welder in industrial construction or plant projects.
• Experience working in LNG plants, Oil & Gas plants, power plants, gas processing plants, petrochemical plants, and other industrial plant projects.
• Skilled in welding carbon steel, stainless steel, and other metal materials used in industrial facilities.
• Proficient in welding processes such as SMAW (Stick Welding), GTAW (TIG Welding), FCAW, and GMAW (MIG Welding).
• Ability to read and interpret welding drawings, fabrication drawings, welding symbols, and technical specifications.
• Knowledge of welding procedures, quality standards, and welding safety requirements.
• Experience performing welding in various positions including flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead.
• Familiarity with welding inspection requirements and quality control standards.
• Physically fit and capable of working in demanding construction environments.

Responsibilities:

• Perform plate welding activities according to approved welding procedures and project specifications.
• Read and interpret fabrication drawings, welding symbols, and technical documents.
• Prepare materials and welding equipment prior to welding operations.
• Weld metal plates, structures, and components used in industrial plant construction.
• Ensure weld quality meets project standards and inspection requirements.
• Perform welding in various positions and site conditions.
• Conduct visual inspection of completed welds and correct welding defects when required.
• Follow safety procedures, welding standards, and permit-to-work requirements.
• Maintain welding equipment, tools, and work areas in safe working condition.
• Coordinate with supervisors, inspectors, and fabrication teams to ensure work quality and productivity.
• Support fabrication, installation, and construction activities as required.
