Operations Specialist

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field.
• A technical diploma with relevant work experience may also be considered.
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience.
• Preferably 8–10 years of experience in a similar role within a chemical or industrial plant.
• Strong knowledge of chemical plant operations, particularly the Solvay process for soda ash and calcium chloride production.
• Hands-on experience in process monitoring, data analysis, and troubleshooting in a chemical manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to improve plant efficiency, reduce operational waste, and support production performance.
• Knowledge of safety and environmental compliance requirements in industrial plant operations.
• Male applicants are preferred for this position.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze and optimize operational processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and increase production output.
• Identify opportunities for operational improvement and implement solutions to enhance overall plant performance.
• Provide technical assistance to the operations team by troubleshooting process issues, evaluating equipment performance, and resolving operational bottlenecks.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), including production rates, energy consumption, raw material usage, and product quality.
• Analyze operational data, identify trends and performance deviations, and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
• Support process monitoring and operational troubleshooting in the chemical manufacturing environment.
• Help improve plant efficiency, minimize waste, and maintain compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
