NDT Technician ( UT Method)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Any Discipline w/ 1 year experience /or Associate Degree in Any Discipline w/ 2 years experience /or Technical Diploma / Certificate Course w/ 3years experience /or High School w/ 5 years experience
  • Valid ANST Level II certificate or equivalent in relevant method (UT)
  • Knowledge of API Spec 5L acceptance criteria.
  • Jaegar No. 1 Eyesight requirement within last 12 months; or Ishihara Eye last 12 months
  • Good communication skills in English.

Responsibilities:

  • UT equipment setup, calibration of Auto and Manual UT Machines
  • Performing auto and manual Ultrasonic Testing in compliance with laid down procedures
  • Interpret codes, standards, specifications and other project documents
  • Performing Ultrasonic Inspection of Coil ends, skelp joints, pipe ends, pipe body and weld seam.
  • Performing verification inspections of indication marked by Auto UT
  • Testing system in auto mode and disengaging the system during skelp joining
  • Preparing relevant UT report / records, rout card and submit to Data Collection Centre.
  • Report any abnormality in UT machines and relevant parts
  • General maintenance and good housekeeping at UT station.
  • Performing any other task assign by NDT Level III.
