MULTICRAFTSMAN (UNDERGROUND/UTILITIES EXPERIENCE)

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience in underground utilities, civil construction, or a related field.
• Vocational Diploma or Short Course Certificate in Others or a related technical discipline.
• Diploma in a related technical course is preferred.
• Must have practical experience in excavation, trenching, shoring, bedding, backfilling, and soil compaction for underground services.
• Knowledge of underground utility installation procedures and construction safety practices.
• Ability to read and follow construction drawings, work instructions, and project specifications.
• Good English communication skills.
• Physically fit and capable of performing demanding construction work in various weather conditions.
• Strong teamwork, problem-solving, and time management skills.
• Male applicants are preferred for this role.

Responsibilities:

• Perform excavation, trenching, shoring, bedding, backfilling, and compaction works for underground utility installations.
• Install, repair, and maintain underground utility systems, including water, sewer, drainage, electrical, and communication lines.
• Prepare excavation sites in accordance with engineering drawings, project specifications, and safety requirements.
• Assist in the installation of underground pipelines, conduits, manholes, valves, and related utility components.
• Operate and use construction tools and equipment required for underground utility and civil works safely and efficiently.
• Ensure proper trench support systems are installed to maintain a safe working environment.
• Carry out backfilling and soil compaction activities to meet project and engineering standards.
• Perform routine inspections of completed work to ensure compliance with quality and safety requirements.
• Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, surveyors, and other construction personnel to complete assigned tasks efficiently.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized condition.
• Follow workplace health, safety, and environmental regulations at all times.
• Perform other construction and maintenance duties assigned by management.
