Mechanical Technician

Qualifications:

  • Qualified and experienced in mechanical installation, maintenance, overhaul, and troubleshooting of rotating and static equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment, and maintenance practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and engineering specifications.
  • Experience working in industrial, construction, oil and gas, or similar environments is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Physically fit and able to work in demanding site conditions.
  • Commitment to quality workmanship, safety, and industry best practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform installation, maintenance, overhaul, and repair of rotating and static mechanical equipment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical faults to ensure reliable equipment performance.
  • Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance activities in accordance with maintenance schedules.
  • Read and interpret mechanical drawings, technical manuals, and project specifications.
  • Inspect equipment and components to identify wear, damage, or operational issues.
  • Assemble, align, and test mechanical equipment to ensure proper operation.
  • Ensure all work complies with applicable industry standards, project requirements, and manufacturer recommendations.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and report equipment conditions to supervisors.
  • Follow workplace health, safety, and environmental procedures at all times.
  • Work collaboratively with engineers, supervisors, and other technical personnel to complete maintenance and installation activities efficiently.
