Yamama Cement Factory is seeking an experienced and technically skilled Mechanical Support Workshop Supervisor to oversee workshop activities and mechanical support operations in Saudi Arabia. This opportunity is ideal for experienced mechanical professionals with strong knowledge of industrial equipment, workshop maintenance, repair operations, and team supervision in a cement or heavy industrial environment.
MECHANICAL SUPPORT WORKSHOP SUPERVISOR
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in mechanical workshop supervision, industrial maintenance, cement manufacturing, or a related heavy industrial environment.
- Previous experience supervising mechanics, technicians, fabricators, welders, or workshop personnel is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of industrial machinery, mechanical maintenance, repair, fabrication, welding, and workshop operations.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical equipment and provide effective technical solutions.
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of industrial safety procedures, equipment handling, and workshop housekeeping standards.
- Able to work in a demanding industrial environment and manage multiple maintenance activities.
- Responsible, safety-conscious, technically capable, and able to lead a workshop team effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily operations of the mechanical support workshop to ensure safe, efficient, and timely completion of maintenance and repair activities.
- Coordinate the inspection, repair, servicing, and maintenance of mechanical equipment, machinery, tools, and components.
- Supervise mechanics, technicians, fabricators, welders, and other workshop personnel.
- Assign daily tasks, monitor work progress, and ensure maintenance activities are completed according to schedules and priorities.
- Diagnose mechanical problems and provide technical guidance for the repair and maintenance of industrial equipment.
- Oversee repair and fabrication activities involving pumps, motors, gearboxes, conveyors, crushers, mechanical components, and other plant equipment as required.
- Review maintenance requests, work orders, technical drawings, and equipment specifications before starting workshop activities.
- Coordinate with plant operations and maintenance departments to ensure timely availability of repaired equipment and components.
- Monitor the quality of repair, fabrication, machining, welding, and assembly work performed in the workshop.
- Ensure workshop tools, machinery, lifting equipment, and other resources are properly maintained and safely operated.
- Monitor the availability and usage of spare parts, materials, consumables, and workshop supplies.
- Maintain accurate records of workshop activities, equipment repairs, work orders, materials, manpower, and maintenance history.
- Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities to minimize equipment downtime.
- Identify recurring mechanical problems and recommend appropriate corrective or preventive measures.
- Enforce workplace safety procedures, housekeeping standards, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Conduct safety briefings and ensure workshop personnel follow company policies and applicable industrial safety requirements.
- Perform other mechanical maintenance, workshop supervision, and technical duties assigned by management.
