Mechanical Fitter

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in Structural Fabrication.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License, Sound mechanical knowledge.
• Ability to use a range of hand tools, Ability to follow circuit diagrams.
• Basic understanding of 12 Volt electrical circuits.
• Ability to work collaboratively with others, Strong communication skills.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and literature.
• A Forklift License would be an advantage but not essential.
• Able to understand and carry out verbal and written material/instructions.
• Able to express ideas clearly in a verbal and written manner.

Responsibilities:

• Mounting and wiring of 12-volt lights.
• Fitting brake boosters and other components
• Plumbing of trailer brake circuits and suspension airbag systems.
• Fitting brake and suspension components.
• Fitment of wheels and tires, EBS end of line.
• Fitment of tarp systems and wiring of tarp drive motors.
• Fitment of Decals and other accessories.
• Checking of work including Bolt torque.
