Service Technician – Cooling Tower Division

Qualifications

• Minimum two years current work experience in a mechanical trade or extensive experience in the assembly and servicing of Cooling Towers
• Preferably have a working knowledge of Cooling Towers
• Site service and customer relations experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Service, repair, assemble, install, commission, inspect cooling towers either at HEWA’s service centre or on site
• To assist in planning & preparation of jobs, using drawings, plans and designs
• Check quality of work performed
• Requisition materials from inventory, replenish consumables in accordance with scope of work
• Provide training to temporary staff for service as applicable
• Discuss equipment & maintenance with clients, collect and analyze data as required
• Check and Record goods inward & dispatch with stock control
• Testing of equipment to meet specifications where required
• Clear and accurate communication with customers
• Adhere to all occupational health and safety requirements. This may include drug and alcohol tests on some sites
• Keep workshop and work sites in a safe, clean and tidy state at all times
• Keep up to date with new industry standards
• Carry out all instructions to the very best of your ability
• All paper work to be completed accurately and in a timely manner, before and after each job
• Time sheets to be completed daily & accurately and handed to Supervisor
• Be committed to the continuous improvement of all systems associated with the service function
• Fulfil other duties as required by management and other department personnel as requested/required
• Attend to site or overnight stays away for work will be required to fulfil the requirements of the role
