Mechanical Fitter (Machine Maintenance)

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 8 years work experience
• Proven problem-solving ability and an excellent level of mechanical competence
• Well experienced in mechanical troubleshooting, preventive maintenance and general overhauling of equipment related to the aluminum can manufacturing or beverage bottle manufacturing industry
• Knowledge of quality, safety, and environmental standards as well as GMP
• Must be in the aluminum can manufacturing or beverage bottle manufacturing industry
• Above average English speech and comprehension

Job Description:

• Participate in PM activities as required by the Maintenance Engineering Manager and their team
• Monitor the ongoing condition of all equipment and repair or escalate where appropriate
• Conduct overhaul on all equipment
• Conduct complex and in-depth fault-finding and problem-solving for machine equipment issues
• Undertake maintenance shutdown tasks and activities as directed
• Able to work in a team conducting any diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs to enable a gradual improvement in skills across the business
• Report all unsafe activity immediately and, where appropriate, report hazards using the site Hazard and Near Miss process
