Australian Skilled Migration is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineering Technician to support operations in the food manufacturing industry in Australia. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of mechanical systems and production equipment to ensure efficient and continuous plant operations.

MECHANICAL ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in the same field.
• Must have experience in the food manufacturing industry.
• Must be a graduate of Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology.
• Middle East work experience is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, production machinery, and maintenance procedures.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues efficiently.
• Good understanding of food safety and industrial hygiene standards.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment used in food manufacturing production lines.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance and reduce downtime.
• Troubleshoot mechanical faults and support corrective maintenance activities.
• Support engineers in improving machine efficiency, reliability, and production output.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and specifications.
• Monitor equipment performance and report defects or abnormalities to engineering supervisors.
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards, hygiene regulations, and workplace safety procedures.
• Assist in equipment calibration and testing where required.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
