Machine Shop Technician II

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 4–6 years of relevant experience in machine shop operations, machining, mechanical repair, or related fields.
• Experience in routine maintenance and repair work within petrochemical plants, fertilizer plants, refineries, chemical plants, and Oil & Gas facilities.
• Strong knowledge of machining processes, mechanical components, fabrication techniques, and precision measurement.
• Experienced in using machine shop tools, equipment, and measuring instruments.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, manuals, and work instructions.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong awareness of industrial safety requirements and maintenance procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Perform machining, fabrication, and repair activities for mechanical parts and equipment.
• Operate various machine shop tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Carry out precision machining tasks such as cutting, drilling, grinding, fitting, and component modification.
• Inspect finished parts and components using measuring instruments to ensure accuracy and compliance with specifications.
• Troubleshoot mechanical component issues and recommend appropriate repair solutions.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and engineering specifications.
• Maintain machine shop equipment, tools, and work areas in good operating condition.
• Prepare maintenance records, work reports, and documentation as required.
• Follow company safety procedures, quality standards, and industrial maintenance practices.
