MACHINE OPERATOR

Qualifications:

• Vocational or technical certificate, diploma, or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Automation, or a related technical field is preferred.
• At least 1–5 years of relevant experience in industrial manufacturing, machine operation, heavy production, or a similar environment.
• Experience in gypsum board, cement manufacturing, or continuous-process production plants is an advantage.
• Knowledge of industrial machinery, production equipment, and basic machine operating procedures.
• Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems and the ability to recognize equipment faults.
• Ability to read and understand equipment instructions, technical drawings, or schematics is an advantage.
• Familiarity with workplace safety standards, good manufacturing practices (GMP), and applicable industrial safety procedures.
• Formal training in electrical or mechanical work is an advantage.
• Strong observation, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to follow instructions, meet production targets, and maintain attention to detail.
• Willingness to work in an industrial manufacturing environment and comply with company safety policies.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor production machines and equipment used in gypsum board and drywall manufacturing.
• Set up machinery, adjust operating parameters, and verify that equipment is functioning according to production requirements.
• Monitor production processes to ensure consistent product quality and compliance with established specifications.
• Inspect raw materials, finished products, and machine output for visible defects or irregularities.
• Perform routine machine checks and basic preventive maintenance to maintain safe and efficient equipment operation.
• Identify unusual machine noises, vibrations, malfunctions, or production irregularities and report them promptly.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and coordinate with maintenance technicians when mechanical or electrical repairs are required.
• Follow production schedules, operating instructions, and quality control procedures.
• Record production output, machine performance, downtime, and other required operational information.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization around machines and production areas.
• Follow workplace safety rules, use the required personal protective equipment (PPE), and observe proper machine operating procedures.
• Coordinate with supervisors, quality control personnel, and maintenance teams to address production issues.
• Support efforts to minimize waste, reduce downtime, and improve production efficiency.
